Here’s how it works:

  • Target your audience: Refine your reach by selecting specific geos, keywords, time, and with so many more options that work best for your campaigns.
  • Manage your budget: Set daily limits, monitor your spending, and pause or adjust campaigns at any time.
  • Track your results: Access daily stats and transparent analytics to optimize your campaigns and maximize your performance.
  • Enrich your tracking even further: improve your campaign tracking by implementing a TJ Conversion Tracker on your website or 3rd party tracker.

With TrafficJunky, you get powerful tools and real-time insights—so you can focus on what matters: results you can measure and grow. Create your first campaign today!

TrafficJunky's bidding system is designed to create a fair and competitive environment for advertisers.

Here’s how it works:

  • The algorithm reviews your bid amount, targeting choices, and daily budget for each campaign.
  • For each ad spot and location, the algorithm considers your campaign’s settings (like frequency caps, geo-targeting etc.) and the number of potential impressions available.
  • Impressions are then assigned, ensuring a broad distribution among advertisers.

This approach helps you compete effectively for traffic, while keeping your spending in check and giving your campaigns a fair shot at reaching your audience.

Campaigns
TrafficJunky campaign creation could not be easier. We have a quick step by step video tutorial to guide advertisers through the campaign creation process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tLa1O5-AoM

Launching a campaign on TrafficJunky is designed to be simple and flexible, so you can reach your audience with precision. Here’s our streamlined 5-step process:

  1. Basic Settings
Name your campaign, choose your device type (desktop, mobile, or tablet), and select your ad format.
  2. Audience
Define your audience with GEO targeting and other precise options. Access advanced targeting features like segment targeting, custom segments, keyword targeting, and retargeting to reach the right users.
  3. Tracking, Sources & Rules
Add your conversion tracker, select your traffic sources and set your bids (or let our algorithms choose these for you). Take advantage of optimization tools like Rules to fine-tune your campaign’s performance.
  4. Scheduling & Budget
Let your campaign’s start and end dates, schedule specific times, apply frequency caps, and define your daily budget to control spend.
  5. Ads
Create your ads and upload your creatives. Choose between manual ad rotation or let Autopilot adjust ad weights automatically for optimal results.

Once you complete these steps, your campaign is ready to launch-putting you in control of your reach, budget, and results.

TrafficJunky gives you full control over your campaigns through an intuitive, self-serve dashboard. From creation to optimization, you have the tools and insights you need to drive real results.

  • Real-Time Analytics: Monitor key metrics like CPM, CTR, impressions, and cost as your campaigns run.
  • Audience Segment Insights: See how different target groups are engaging with your ads, so you can fine-tune your strategy for maximum impact.
  • Top Performers at a Glance: Quickly identify your best-performing sources and creatives right from your dashboard, making it easy to double down on what works.
  • Flexible Editing Tools: Adjust bids, budgets, targeting, and creative assets on the fly—no need to pause your campaigns.
  • Custom Reporting: Schedule recurring reports with filters and breakdowns that matter most to you, so you always have the data you need to make smart decisions.

Everything you need to manage, optimize, and scale your campaigns is right at your fingertips-helping you turn insights into results, every step of the way.

Products and banners convert differently on every site and spot, testing a few placements as well as creatives is important and will demonstrate where your product converts best.

If your campaign isn’t receiving traffic, here are a few things to check:

  • Campaign Status: Make sure your campaign is active.
  • Ad Approval: Confirm your ads are approved and not paused.
  • Scheduling: Check that your campaign’s start and end dates are current.
  • Account Balance: ensure your account balance is adequate to launch and sustain your campaigns.
  • Bid: Look for any bid-related alerts in your campaign settings-accept recommended changes or adjust your bid manually to keep up with market fluctuations.

If you still need more help, Contact Us to help resolve the issue.

After you complete all 5 steps of campaign creation, your campaign will enter processing mode. Once your creatives are approved and all campaign settings and account requirements are in place, your ads can start receiving traffic right away.
Please note, there may be a short delay before updated statistics appear in your dashboard—campaign stats can take up to 1 hour to refresh. If you don’t see immediate results, check back shortly for the latest data.

Yes, TrafficJunky offers flexible geo-targeting options. You can combine up to 30 countries, regions, and cities to include/exclude within a single campaign, so you can reach your ideal audience with precision.

Yes, TrafficJunky gives you the flexibility to schedule your campaigns to run during specific time frames that match your audience and marketing goals. In step 3 of campaign creation, you can use the campaign duration or campaign schedule features to set daily time slots, or specific start and end dates.
Please note, all scheduling is based on Eastern Time (EST), so remember to account for time zone differences when planning your campaigns.

Yes, TrafficJunky offers keyword targeting to help you reach specific audiences and niche markets. In step 2 of campaign creation, under Advanced Targeting, you can select Keyword Targeting and choose between broad or exact match options. This lets you focus your ads based on relevant video tags and searched terms, connecting with users who are most likely to be interested in your products or services.

A TrafficJunky conversion tracker is a code snippet generated by our platform that you place on your conversion confirmation page—such as a thank you, order confirmation, or payment page. Once installed, it tracks every conversion from your campaigns, giving you clear insights into what’s driving results.
We offer multiple integration options to fit your setup, including HTML, S2S (server-to-server), and Google Tag Manager (GTM) invocation codes.

Conversion tracking lets you measure the full impact of your campaigns—from ad impression to conversion—so you can optimize for real results. Setting up a conversion tracker is straightforward and gives you the insights needed to fine-tune your strategy.

Step 1: Create a Conversion Tracker

  1. In the TJ Member’s Area, go to Tools > Tracking Tools.
  2. Open the Conversion Tracker tab
  3. Select New Conversion Tracker and fill out the form:
    1. Tracker Name: Give your tracker a clear name. (mandatory)
    2. Tracker Code Location Page: Set a numeric value for the page in your funnel where the code will be placed. (optional)
    3. Tracker Group: Organize your trackers for easy management. (optional)
    4. Event: Choose the event you want to track (e.g., sign-up, sale). (mandatory)
    5. Value: Assign a dollar value for each conversion event. (optional)
  4. Click Add Tracker. Your tracker will appear in your list.

Step 2: Choose Your Integration Method

To access your code, click View Code next to your tracker and select your preferred method:

  • HTML Pixel: Place the code on your confirmation or thank you page. Recommended for most setups.
  • Postback URL (S2S): Use a server-to-server URL for advanced tracking, ideal if you can’t place a pixel on the confirmation page.
  • Google Tag Manager (GTM): Easily add the tracker using your GTM container.

Step 3: Implement the Code

  • For HTML Pixel, add the provided code to the appropriate page on your site.
  • For S2S/Postback, use the URL in your third-party tracker or platform, making sure to include the ACLID parameter when required.
  • For GTM, copy and paste the code directly into your GTM tag configuration.

Step 4: Verify and Optimize

  • Use the dashboard to monitor conversion stats and details.
  • Schedule recurring reports and apply filters to get the insights you need.
  • Review audience segment insights and top-performing sources to continually improve your campaigns based on your CPA goals.

Our platform offers detailed manuals and troubleshooting guides if you need extra help - Conversion Tracking Manuals.

Your Tracking Tools make it easy to distinguish conversions driven by your TrafficJunky campaigns:

  • TJ conversions show conversions that are directly attributed to TrafficJunky—meaning our system matched the conversion to a specific ad, campaign, and banner from your account.
  • All conversions include every instance your conversion tag fired, regardless of source. If a conversion appears here but not under “TJ conversions,” it means the pixel fired, but we couldn’t tie it back to a specific TrafficJunky campaign or ad.
In the Conversion Details tab, you’ll see key information for each conversion, including:
  • Date
  • Campaign
  • Ad name
  • Source
  • Ad ID
  • Banner preview
  • Transaction ID
  • Transaction description
  • Value
This detailed view helps you track and analyze exactly how your TrafficJunky campaigns are performing, so you can optimize for even better results.

To verify your conversion tag is set up correctly:

  1. Go to your live confirmation page and view the page source.
  2. Check that the tag appears in the source code between the <body> and </body> tags.
  3. Ensure there are no spaces in the tag or in the data passed. For example:
    1. Correct:
      <img id="40_cpa_testing" src="https://ads.trafficjunky.net/tj_ads_pt?a=40&member_id=123456&cb=56465487878&cti=778884455&ctv=5.85&ctd=Premium+account+1+year" border="0" height="1" width="1">
    2. Incorrect:
      <img id="40_cpa_testing" src="https://ads.trafficjunky.net/tj_ads_pt?a=40&member_id=123456&cb=56465487878&cti=778884455&ctv=5.85&ctd=Premium account 1 year" border="0" height="1" width="1">
  4. Check your tracker status in your TrafficJunky dashboard:
    1. Green: Your tracker is working correctly.
    2. Yellow: There are configuration issues that need to be resolved.
If everything looks correct but you’re still not seeing data in your account, please contact us. We’re here to help troubleshoot and ensure your tracking is set up for success.

TrafficJunky tokens are dynamic placeholders you can add to your ad’s target URL. When your ad is served, these tokens are automatically replaced with real campaign data—such as campaign ID, ad name, site, geo, or banner—so you can track exactly where your clicks and conversions are coming from.

How to use tokens:

  1. In Step 5 of campaign creation, enter your target URL.
  2. Click on the available tokens below the URL field to insert them where needed.
Example:
https://yourdomain.com/click?cid={CampaignID}&ad={AdID}&site={SiteName}

Common tokens include:

  • {CampaignID} – Campaign ID
  • {AdID} – Ad ID
  • {SiteName} – Site name
  • {BanID} – Banner ID
  • {SourceName} – Source name
  • {Location} – Geo location
  • {BidValue} – Your bid value
If you're looking for additional tokens to match your third-party tracker’s requirements, we’d be happy to help - contact us!

Server2Server (S2S) tracking, also known as Postback URL tracking, is an advanced method for measuring conversions without placing a pixel or script directly on your confirmation page. Instead, your server communicates conversion data directly to TrafficJunky’s server whenever a user completes a desired action.

This approach is ideal if you can’t add code to your offer’s confirmation page, or if you’re working with third-party platforms that support postback URLs. With S2S tracking, you’ll receive accurate, real-time reporting on which campaigns, ads, and clicks are driving results.

To set up S2S tracking, simply generate your unique postback URL in your TrafficJunky dashboard, then configure your system or third-party tracker to send conversion information (including the required ACLID parameter) back to us each time a conversion occurs.

For step-by-step setup instructions and best practices, visit our Conversion Tracking Manuals.

To set up Server2Server (S2S) tracking with TrafficJunky, you’ll first need to create a conversion tracker in your dashboard. Once created, open the Postback URL tab in the tracker’s Invocation Code popup. Copy the provided URL and add it to your tracking tool or share it with your offer provider.

A typical postback URL looks like this:

http://ads.trafficjunky.net/tj_ads_pt?a=XXXXXXXXX&member_id=YYYYYY&cb=&cti=[TRANSACTION_UNIQ_ID]&ctv=[VALUE_OF_THE_TRANSACTION]&ctd=[TRANSACTION_DESCRIPTION]&aclid=[ACLID]

Key requirement:
The most important parameter is the ACLID (Click ID). This value is added to each click from our system and must be saved throughout the user’s session. When a conversion occurs, your system should send the ACLID back to TrafficJunky using the postback URL, so we can accurately attribute the conversion to the original click.

If your tracking software or offer platform is unable to map the ACLID to their ClickID parameter, you can use the {ACLID} token in your landing page URL, like this:

http://www.yourlandingpageurl.com?YOUR_CLICK_ID_PARAMETER={ACLID}

For detailed, step-by-step instructions and best practices, visit our Conversion Tracking Manuals

Here’s the list of UTM parameters with some usual tokens associated to it but you are free to use your own:

Campaign: Groups all of the content from one campaign in your analytics.

Ex: utm_campaign={CampaignID}

Source: Which website is sending you traffic.

Ex: utm_source={SiteName}

Medium: The type of marketing medium that the link is featured in.

Ex: utm_medium=TrafficJunky

Content: Used to track the different types of content that point to the same URL from the same campaign, source, and medium codes. Often used in PPC or with two identical links on the same page.

Ex: utm_content={BanID} or utm_content={SpotName}

TJ’s clicks tracking happens on the server side. The clicked advertisement will first make a request on our servers in order to be recorded. Google Analytics only tracks on the advertiser side. Here are some of the reasons the numbers might not be matching up: A single visitor clicked the ads multiple times; The browser timed-out before landing to the page; A visitor navigates away before Google Analytics tracking code executes; A visitor opted out of Google Analytics tracking, but not TJ tracking.

Creatives

Advertisers have their own banners made or get them from their Affiliate network.

Animated ads may not necessarily receive more clicks than a static ad. An ad's performance has many variables: the product being advertised, the style of the ad, color, image(s), call to action and many other factors.

Ads that do not follow our Advertisers' Rules and Regulations are rejected by our compliance team. Rejection reasons vary per site and spot, they are included in the notification emails. Check to see that you have subscribed to Ad Approval notification emails on the My Profile page.

False advertising or misleading advertising is the use of false or misleading statements or deceptive images in advertising. TrafficJunky rejects misleading ads and landers during the ad review process to prevent false advertising on our Network to maintain the integrity of the sites and products advertised so as they do not lose credibility to current and future visitors. In the short run you can turn a quick profit with false advertising by persuading a visitor to click or purchase when they wouldn't otherwise, but in the long run the lack of credibility of the products advertised on the sites damages all stakeholders, including yourself. If you answer "Yes" to one of these questions then you are false advertising and your ad will be rejected.

  • Does the banner give or imply false information about the product being sold to persuade a visitor to click or purchase?
  • Does the banner have deceptive negative buttons like a close, x, or no button to persuade a visitor to click when they want to remove the ad?
  • Does the banner put the visitor under the impression that something that is false or untrue will be delivered or may occur upon clicking the ad or purchasing the product/service?
  • Do you make a false claim or a claim you can't prove?
  • Do your banners portray images which are different from the product/service being sold?
  • Do you sell the product/service above your advertised price without ever disclosing the actual price?

Ads are reviewed daily by our compliance team to make sure they follow TrafficJunky's Rules and Regulations. We are open 24/7. Ads will be reviewed in the order submitted.

For sales leads, a good ad is an ad that maximizes CTR. Ads designed for CTR should have:

  • Relevant content: The text should be short and answer the question of what will users get if they click through?
  • Visually appealing: Keep the ad simple, uncluttered, and supportive to the message
  • Compelling call to action: Give users a cause to click with text like 'sign up', 'register', and 'click here.'

Our Rules and Regulations page lists all banner rules and specifications per site and spot. Available ad dimensions can be found on the first step of the Campaign Creation process, as well as our Ad Formats page.

Animation is allowed on all TrafficJunky placements and sources. However, your creatives must comply with our fast animation rules to ensure a smooth user experience.

For full details on banner requirements, visit our Rules and Regulations page.

Pop-under inventory is available only to eligible accounts. To find out if you qualify, please Contact Us.

Iframe ads are available to clients who have demonstrated a strong history of compliance and quality on our platform. We recommend starting with our wide range of available ad formats - static, video, native ads, in-stream, and shorties - across high-converting sources on our publisher sites.

Once you've established a positive track record, we'll be happy to re-evaluate iframe access for your account.

To explore all available ad formats, visit our Ad Formats page.

Billing

TrafficJunky uses a CPM (cost per 1,000 impressions) pricing model, where you pay based on the number of times your ad is served. You can choose to set your bids automatically for optimized results or manage them manually for greater control.

Your daily budget can be capped at a specific amount or set to unlimited, depending on your campaign goals. The final price you pay is determined by your bid and the level of competition for your chosen placements. Your pre-loaded balance is only billed as your ads receive impressions.

TrafficJunky does not offer CPC. The volume and value of our traffic best fits the CPM live bidding model we have developed, allowing advertisers with any budget to run a test at low risk while maximizing their return on investment.

Flat rate sales are managed by an experienced sales team and are only available for product owners. Only proven products on our traffic will be able to make an application for prepaid inventory. To inquire about the possibility of arranging a flat rate deal, please email businessdev@trafficjunky.com

TrafficJunky operates on a pay-as-you-go model, so you’ll need to load funds into your account before your campaigns can go live.

  1. Go to Finance > Account Funding in your dashboard.
  2. You will be able to view all available payment methods, including Paxum, Wire Transfer, and more.
  3. Follow the prompts to complete your payment.
Please note, you must complete ID or Company verification before you can start adding funds. Your account balance is always visible in the top right corner of your dashboard.

If you encounter any issues or have questions about payment methods, please contact us for assistance.

TrafficJunky does not set a default spending limit on your account. You can control your spend by setting a daily budget for each campaign, or choose to go unlimited if you prefer.

If you notice a daily spend cap on your account, it may be due to a compliance issue identified by our team. If this happens, please contact us for more information or assistance.

TrafficJunky provides invoices for all payments made to your account. Here’s how invoices are issued based on payment method:

  • Wire Transfer: You can generate your invoice on demand directly from your account.
  • Paxum: Your invoice is generated automatically once your payment is complete.

  2. Select Invoices Report> All Invoices to view and download your invoices.
  3. Set the date filter to appropriate date range.
If you have specific invoice needs or questions, please contact us for assistance.

TrafficJunky does not provide insertion orders for bidding clients. Traffic is purchased on a live bidding platform, which means the amount of traffic an advertiser can get will fluctuate based on the market and competition. Our platform works on a prepaid system; funds are preloaded into a user's account and deducted from, as the advertiser's campaign receives traffic.

In some circumstances, TrafficJunky may offer a refund to your account. Refund decisions are made on a case-by-case basis and depend on the facts and circumstances of the specific refund. All refunds are made at our discretion and without admission of liability. To request a refund, please email support@trafficjunky.com. TrafficJunky will not issue a refund for purchased traffic. Refund requests are invalid for users distributing malware or malicious JavaScript. Funds that were given to an advertiser in a form of Bonuses or promos are non-refundable.

A VAT (Value Added Tax) deduction is applied in accordance with Cyprus tax regulations, where TrafficJunky is registered. VAT may be charged on certain bidding transactions to ensure compliance. The following situations require VAT to be applied:

  • VAT is charged to customers who are individuals located in the European Union, Ukraine, the United Kingdom (including the Isle of Man) and Cyprus.
  • VAT is charged to customers who are corporations located in these regions if they are not registered for VAT or have not provided a valid VAT Registration Number.
  • VAT will be charged on all transactions between two Cypriot entities. If a valid VAT number is provided, you can claim it back in your year-end taxes.
To add a valid VAT number, go to Profile > Entity Info in your account and scroll down to enter your VAT number. If you believe you were charged VAT incorrectly after providing your VAT details, please contact us.
